Every Wednesday from 10:00-12:00 this wellbeing space opens to the community for a variety of hobbies and activities. Anyone is welcome to share a hobby or skill and anyone is welcome to join a workshop or activity. They are all free. Or you can just come and relax and chat with others.
You can also enjoy the peace in our quiet area where you can join in a short time of led prayer or just use the space for some personal quiet time.
The activities are based around the '5 ways to wellbeing' which promote good mental and emotional health. To connect, give, be active, keep learning and take notice will hopefully contribute towards a preventative approach to mental ill health.

Your time, your words, your presence.

Do what you can, enjoy what you do, move your mood.

Embrace new experiences, see opportunities, surprise yourself.

Talk & listen, be there, feel connected.

Remember the simple things that give you joy.
Get in touch with our team, to find out more about Renew at the Backroom.
For the last ten years, Renew Wellbeing has been setting qiet shared spaces where it's OK not to be OK.
Renew spaces are simple cafe-style spaces run by local churches where hobbies and activities are shared or co-produced.
Each cafe space is attached to a quiet room or prayer space where inner habits of wellbeing are shared.
Each church partners with a mental health professional from the local council or other suitable organisation to ensure good inclusive practices for safe spaces where it's OK not to be OK can be sustained.
